(mostly Tuesdays).
The grade of the event and some other information given by
symbols in the key below. Meetings at Chapter in Market Street, Canton start at 8 pm and are marked with their own
symbol.
From the beginning of June, some evening events will start
again from the National Museum of Wales in Cathays Park. These are marked
simply as "meet Museum".

Cardiff Outdoor
Group meets in a room in Chapter Arts Centre, Market Road, Canton, Cardiff on
Tuesday evenings, especially during the Autumn and Winter. The icon on the
right will indicate a meeting at Chapter. Meetings here start at 8pm. The room
we use varies and is shown on the programme for each event. First Space is to
the right when you come in through the main entrance. Media point and the
Boardroom are upstairs. If in doubt, please ask at reception.

|
Bulmore area of Caerleon Walk (3
miles) starting and finishing at the Bell Inn.

|
Art Exhibition and
Meal. A guided tour of the degree shows at Cardiff School of Art and
Design, followed by an Indian meal.
Names for the meal by 5 June please.
Meet 6.15 p.m. Ernest Willows, bottom of City Road, for a pre-show drink, or
7.00 p.m. at UWIC Howard Gardens reception.

Groes-faen Walk (3 miles).

miles). Around the Taf Fechan, taking in an old railway viaduct,
river gorge and a pub.

Tuesday 1st
|
Cwm Nash to Cwm Marcross Seascape
walk. A four mile walk, along or near the sea wall. Drinks at The
Horseshoes Inn at approximately 9pm.
Meet at Museum at 6pm or The Horseshoes Inn, Marcross
at 7pm.

Tuesday 8th
|
Newport Wetlands Visit
This 438 hectare wildlife reserve situated on part of the tranquil Gwent
Levels, at the edge of the city of Newport, was created as mitigation for the
loss of mudflats of Cardiff Bay. The reedbeds, saline lagoons, wet grassland
and scrub, have attracted a wealth of wetland birds. The reserve is also an
excellent place to see other wildlife, such as orchids, butterflies,
dragonflies and otters. A guided walk around the reserve has been arranged to
begin at 7pm.

|
Rowing on Roath Park
Lake If its wet , there will be a short walk around the park.
Afterwards at the 3 Arches.
Whatever the weather meet at the Roath Park Boat house
at 6.30pm prompt.

|
Bay Walk Enjoy a walk
along the River Taff to the bay, where we can partake of some refreshments. We
can either walk back or if youre flagging catch the train. Find out about
the groups activities.

Tuesday 29th
|
Dewstow Hidden Gardens and
Grottoes A chance visit the stunning Dewstow Gardens , which were
re-discovered in 2001. The unique fern grottos, in this grade listed garden,
are worth a visit on their own. For more details see

need a minimum of 15 people to get a special evening opening for the group.

Tuesday 5th
|
Lisvane walk A
pleasant, four-mile walk with extensive views south over Cardiff and the
Bristol channel. Drinks later in the Griffin Inn.
Meet at the Museum at 6.30 pm or in Church lane,
adjacent to the Griffin Inn, Lisvane. at 7pm.

Beach BBQ at
Southerndown There will be a small charge for food. Please bring
your own drink. To judge numbers and to book your sausages/veggie burgers

Tuesday 19th
|
The Highlight Trail
Discover the history of one of the many lost villages of the Vale of Glamorgan
on this three and a half mile, circular walk. This walk will be followed by
drinks in the Cwm Cidy, Port rd , Barry.
Meet at Museum at 6.30 or Outside the main entrance to
Barry Tesco at 7pm.
